Book Giveaway!

Any mom's out there struggle to find a moment for yourselves? Rarely find a calm moment to sit and reflect, think or even go to the bathroom by yourself?

I have stumbled upon this wonderful woman, Kristen Welch and her Blog.  After browsing and reading for a short time, I was hooked and so inspired and entertained by her stories, advice and authenticity.  She writes of the everyday 'mom' stuff, personal struggles, fashion, faith, marriage advice/stories and her involvement with 'The Mercy House' a house they built in Africa to help reach out and give hope to pregnant women.

I came to realize she had written a book.  A book of true-life stories and inspiration for the mom (newbie or not!) that could use some!  It's titled Don't Make Me Come Up There! : Quiet moments for busy moms.  I ordered it right then and there and have so enjoyed reading it!  She is so raw, real and human in her stories and truly helps you realize you are not alone!  Those struggles us mom's have that Satan uses to feed us lies and doubts about ourselves---she writes about it all and gives hope and a scripture verse to reflect on.  There are 52 reflections and while you could probably read one a week....or a day, I've read like five a day :)

"A calm moment is rare in a mom's chaotic day.  But she needs it.  She needs the inspiration to find God in the mess and the mundance that often defines her.  She needs to laugh and remember why she loves being a mom" (Don't Make Me Come Up There.)

I encourage you to check out some videos about this book as well as her blog to learn more about her and the cool things she is doing!

I am also so excited to offer a GIVEAWAY of her BOOK! :)  One lucky commenter will win a copy of her book Don't Make Me Come Up There.

***To enter, please leave a comment and tell me why you love being a mom.

Winner will be announced Tuesday March 6th!

  1. I love being a mom because there is nothing like the sheer love that a mother has for her child. It is a feeling I had never known before, and while it is a huge and often scary responsibility to be responsible for raising my son to be a man of character, I pray I can show him grace and love every single day. Being a mother is also so very symbolic of Christ's love for us. I would do anything for my son, and it reminds me then just how much God had to love us to send his only son. I believe being a mother has made me a more loving, understanding, and forgiving person.

  2. Being a mom is fulfilling because because I get to see their learning and happiness every day. I get to laugh and play and hopefully bring them up to be wonderful, caring, productive humans....and possibly bring this world some much needed peace and beauty.

I love being a mum because my baby teaches me new things every day - something I never thought was possible with a 5 month old.
